Commercial Mold Damage – Laconia Office Building
Commercial mold damage developed at this Laconia office facility when a supply line to a toilet in an employee-only restroom experienced a slow leak over time. It was first noticed when the mold spores became visible in the industrial carpeting, but most of the mold growth had occurred in the drywall underneath the leak. We fixed the leak easily with a new washer and then set out to mitigate the mold damage. We set up a containment area to prevent any mold spores from migrating to other areas of the office. We removed the cove molding and cut out a portion of the drywall to give us access to the space between the walls which housed the majority of the mold growth. WE used commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the space behind the wall and then treated the area with an antimicrobial agent to inhibit any future mold growth. The carpeting was cleaned and also treated with an antimicrobial agent.
